Most of those who are mould makers usually gain their experience and reputation through an apprenticeship. A mould maker's job usually begins with blueprints. He must be able to understand, analyse, and interpret a blueprint, selecting the appropriate tools that are needed for the job. This often involved the use of precision instruments and devices to help them create the mould using the blueprint design as a guide. Experience can be extremely helpful in this area, because it will allow an individual to recognize any corrections that need to be made to the mould so that it will be effective.
